Large folio, fir-green half-maroquin with corners, 5-rib spine, gilt author, title and date, caissons edged with several fillets with animal heads in fleurons, all gilt, gilt fillet to covers, gilt head [Carayon] (3 corners dulled, headpieces and jaws rubbed, superf. scratches to lower cover).
Unique edition of this beautiful album devoted to hunting, illustrated with some one hundred drawings by the author in bistre. Limited edition of 150 copies on japon, numbered and signed by the author, this one n° 39.
The "achevé d'imprimer" is dated November 30, 1889, the date on the title is 1887.
