In-8, 5-rib spine, gilt title, fleur-de-lys caissons, boards edged with a fillet with fleur-de-lys spandrels and coat of arms in the center, all gilt, gilt roulette at the edges, gilt edges (some rubbing). With 2 hors-texte engravings, one after Rubens.
With the arms of Marie Leszczynska (1703-1768), the work's dedicator, Queen of France through her marriage to Louis XV.

Paris, Delaulne, [1698 ?]. In-8, 5-rib spine, gilt title, fleur-de-lys and crowned cipher, boards edged with triple fillet with crowned cipher in spandrels, and arms in center, all gilt, gilt roulette at edges, edges gilt on marble (qq. rubs and stains, tear at edge of one nerve| freckles, lacks printed title page, but with engraved title).
With the coat of arms of Philippe d'Orléans, known as the Regent (1674-1723).

Printed in red and black in large type, with a few full-page copper-engraved figures.
