Two parts in one oblong in-folio volume, modest antique cardboard, smooth bronze-green spine with title-piece (spine rubbed, boards soiled, edges and corners worn| endpapers renewed, first and last f. rebacked with kraft tabs, lacks title of first part, f. of dedication and last page soiled| marginal wetness, stains and soiling sparing the figures, except for one plate of part 2| 4 plates lacking| perhaps also lacking a table leaf at end).
Reunion of the first two volumes of this important series of engravings illustrating Rome. Volume 1 concerns gates and walls, the second is devoted to the representation of squares.
