The finest 18th-century edition of Rabelais, illustrated with: a handsome allegorical frontispiece with a medallion portrait of the author in volume 2| an engraved title by Picard repeated in volumes 1 and 3| a portrait of the author by Tanjé, 12 figures by Du Bourg, 3 views of La Devinière, and a folding map, an engraved figure of La Bouteille, 12 vignettes and 12 culs-de-lampe.
