In-folio, 19th c. parchment, smooth, muted spine (stains to boards, tears and dull corners| scattered light soiling and wetness, especially at the end of the volume| repair to the false title and margin blemishes).
Latin edition, translated by Esprit Fléchier, on the French edition entitled "Courses de testes et de bague faites par le roy et par les princes et seigneurs de sa cour en l'année 1662". The two editions were published simultaneously.
[2] f. (faux-titre, title), frontispiece with bust portrait of the king engraved by E. Rousselet, [2] f. (dedication), a suite of 5 plates offering 7 oblong views and entitled "Praefectorum catrorum...", 105 pages including numerous full-page copper engravings, and 3 double plates engraved on copper by Israël Silvestre.
