Decoration of the Order of the Kim Khanh of the second mandarin class
The traditional gong-shaped pendant in repoussé gold leaf and pendants of silk thread and glass beads.
One side bears the inscription "Gia thien sanh nang" (Praise goodness and perpetuate talent). The other side with the inscription "Thanh Thai Sac Tu" (Awarded by Thanh Thai).

From 1898 to 1932, Dr. L.J. Gaide, a military physician, spent more than 25 years stationed in China (Yunnan) and Indochina (Cambodia, Laos, Annam, Cochinchina, Tonkin). In particular, he lived in Hué and Hanoi. He was President of the Association des Amis du Vieux Hué and a correspondent of the École Française d'extrême Orient.
