This clip from Cartier features a bouquet combining the emblematic flowers of the four nations that make up the United Kingdom.
The Tudor rose has been the traditional flower of England since the end of the War of the Roses (1455–1485). In the 6th century, the shamrock became the emblem of Ireland following the Christianisation of the island by Saint Patrick. The thistle represents the great Scottish House of Stuart – ‘No one harms me with impunity’ – and the daffodil is one of the two symbols of Wales.
