Rectangular with rounded sides, decorated in hiramaki-e lacquer on a black background with autumn flowers (chrysanthemums, campanulas, susuki, carnations, lespedezes...). The sides of the box are flanked by two metal medallions featuring cherry blossoms.
The interior in ro-iro lacquer and with a tray.
