Porcelain, decorated in grisaille and gold highlights with a portrait of Martin Luther in a cartouche framed by two angels, and a second cartouche with Christ and his disciples. The wing is decorated with a frieze of spearheads and a scroll dotted with shells.

NOTE:
The bust portrait of Martin Luther (1483 - 1546) and the scene depicting Christ and the apostles are part of an engraving by Frans Brun after a work by Crispin de Passe II (1597 - 1670). Some authors have suggested that these services were commissioned for the bicentenary of Luther's death.
