LARGE CHIMNEY SCREEN in molded and finely carved wood (walnut?), richly decorated with masks of espagnolettes and wild men, floral scrolls, volutes and fleurons. It stands on skate-shaped legs terminating in cloven hooves. Regency period, circa 1720 / 1730

The removable screen core is fitted with antique floral stitch trim.

This work is to be compared with productions generally attributed to Jean-Bernard-Honoré Turreau dit Toro (1672-1731).
