in chased iron. Musketeer-style chased iron mounting. Bulb-shaped pommel with symmetrical decoration. Guard with two inverted quillons. Pas d'âne (donkey step) standing out from the body knot, resting on the shell with double openwork pontat with central decoration of character profiles in a medallion. Wooden spindle with iron filigree. Double-edged straight blade. Shuttle section on the fifth, then flattened. One-third of the blade is engraved with interlacing and a diamond-point rosette.
Late Louis XIV period.
