MONET Claude (1840-1926).
L.A.S. "Cl. Monet", Giverny February 21, 1921, to Gustave GEFFROY| 3 pages in-8 in pencil, headed Giverny par Vernon, envelope.
He did not reply to his good letter, being "rather woozy for the last few days [...] writing is quite a business for me, I can see less and less, which makes me terribly unhappy and nervous". But he wants to tell Geffroy "all the friendship I have always had for you, as well as the regret of not seeing you more often, which is neither your fault nor mine". He is at her disposal for any questions Geffroy may have, which Mme Jean Monet will answer for him. He has received her book on Guys, which he is unable to read at present| he is also curious to read the book on Firmin Maillard "whom I knew very well in the past"...
