He invites Depeaux to visit him in Giverny before his meeting with Georges Viau: "I don't intend to go to Paris any time soon, it's been more than 18 months since I touched a brush. I've just spent 4 of them looking after the SISLEY children and the memory of their father, and it's time I thought about myself and worked, so you'll understand my desire to confine myself to Giverny, where I also have many duties to fulfill". He has received a complaint from a paint merchant "to whom Sisley owed an account| it would be urgent, it seems to me, before placing what is due to the children, to know exactly what debts remain outstanding". Georges VIAU wishes to be "relieved of his role as treasurer of the subscription", and Monet would like to know how the sum will be used...
