Greetings and congratulations on the first transatlantic flight of the Arc-en-Ciel (a three-engine Couzinet 70) from Le Bourget on January 7, 1933 to Istres, Port-Étienne and Saint-Louis in Senegal, from where it left on the morning of January 16 for Natal, arriving that evening, and departing the next morning for Rio. He crossed the Atlantic in 14 h 32, in the company of builder Couzinet, co-pilot Pierre Carretier, navigator Louis Mailloux, mechanic Camille Jousse and radio operator Jean Manuel.
We note the names of Antoine de SAINT-EXUPÉRY ("Tiens avant votre départ vous redire toute mon amitié mes meilleurs souhaits et regret de n'avoir pu vous dire adieu"...), the Marquise de NOAILLES, Jacques de SAINT-PIERRE, Edmond D'OLIVEIRA, French Consul GIACHETTI, the Uruguay Meteorological Service, the Aéro-Club de France, etc.
