This bust was produced in Algiers in 1943, at the instigation of Gaston Palewski and Georges Gorse of the General's cabinet.
Edgar PILLET, recipient of a scholarship to stay at the Villa Abd el Tiff as a laureate of the École supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris, had been in Algiers since 1939.
