Letter box (fubako) in maki-e lacquer, takamaki-e and mother-of-pearl and coral inlays depicting two small birds, one perched on a high flowering stem, the other fluttering in the upper left-hand section. The interior in nashiji lacquer. Signed "Eisu" on the lower right.
