Large Gu vase in gilt bronze and cloisonné enamel, circular in cross-section, the body divided into four sections underlined by a gilt bronze redent in imitation of bamboo. The central part is decorated with a Taotie mask on a turquoise enamel background, while the upper and lower parts flare out like trumpets and are adorned with banana leaf-shaped reserves housing stylized phoenixes.
The interior is decorated with grape bunches and foliage.
