IMPORTANTE PENDULE «À LA SOURCE» ou Suzanne au bain. Le cadran circulaire

IMPORTANT CLOCK "À LA SOURCE" or Suzanne in the bath. The circular dial is set in a large sculpted white marble group depicting a nude young woman seated on a rock, drying herself with a towel, her hair done in the Antique style, probably an allegory of the Source or Suzanne's bath. On the side, a spring flows at her feet. The monolithic group includes the dial and movement (later, wire suspension). The rectangular base is in sea-green marble and rests on six gilded bronze feet. The marble group is surrounded by finely chased ormolu baguettes alternating acorns and oak leaves. Empire period.
