Rosewood SCRIBAN COMMODE. The upper pedestal opens to a flap with a book-holding strip resting on two pulls trimmed with gilt-bronze knobs. It reveals six stepped drawers and compartments. A small central leaf. A storage box. The lower part opens to four drawers on three rows. France, first half of the 18th century. Gilded bronze trim on the valets, top in brown leather gilded with small irons.
