QADJAR MIRROR BOX in papier-mâché or lacquer-painted cardboard. The two-sided cover is decorated on one side with a festive scene featuring several characters including musicians and horsemen, and on the other side with a couple playing music. The reverse is decorated with a scene of scholars smoking and conversing. Iran, Qadjar period, 19th century.
