Gilded and engraved brass leveling square signed "Dominicus Lusuerg
F. 1717". The two arms are enlarged at their base to hold vertically on the plane to be levelled and are decorated with fleurons. They are joined by a circular hinge engraved with foliage, pierced to suspend a lead. The articulated and graduated transverse arm is decorated with rosettes.
