Rectangular secret case, the top in doucine. It is made of molded ebony veneer. Each side offers a gilded copper plate worked with repoussé and chiseled with winged angels' heads, fruits and foliage. It opens to a top flap revealing a mobile compartmented interior including a ribbon winder. A secret drawer on the side. The underside of the flap is made of engraved and gilded copper, opening on two brass bars allowing the storage of lost tools and on a bolt activating another secret opening on the top (not functional).
