WATER CLOCK in copper and black-stained wood. Hollow brass float contained in a 59-hour water reservoir, with adjustable outflow into a removable lower brass bowl. Lead counterweight. Tank engraved with two leaning dolphins. Front plate engraved: "J. Taylor fectif AD Salisbury 1692 / Use well youre houres". Single-hand dial engraved with 24 hours. England, 17th century style.
