David Webb (1925 - 1975) était un joaillier américain qui a imprimé son empreinte sur la joaillerie des années 1960. Les créations audacieuses de David Webb, sans jamais être trop complexes ou surchargées, restent ainsi à la fois modernes et intemporelles. Connu pour sa grande maîtrise du travail de l'émail, Webb a développé un vaste bestiaire surprenant aux couleurs vives.
Il comptait parmi ses célèbres et fidèles clientes, la Duchesse de Windsor, l'actrice Elizabeth Taylor et la première dame des
États-Unis, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
Cette dernière amena le joaillier jusqu'à la Maison Blanche pour laquelle il honora des commandes pour des cadeaux diplomatiques.
