GREEK WOODED SAUTE CHEST in rosewood veneer and decorated with a marquetry of cubes on the front and on the sides in broad Greek-style framing, in amaranth wood. It opens with three drawers on a top row, underlined by a gilded bronze molding on top of two other drawers without crossbar, framed by two leaves. Rounded mounts and curved feet. Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes: frieze of leafy interlacing, handles with mobile rings, falls, scrolled sabots and apron. Breche marble top. Style of the 18th century.
