A diamond, platinum and gold brooch

Harry Winston
"Mr. Winston was known for hiring classically trained artists to design his jewelry. He felt they had an innate understanding of technique and material to bring the jewelry to life. Nevdon Koumrouyan was a talented designer, heading up the design studio in the 1940s, it was under his pencil that the famous Winston Cluster was born as, we assume, was this flower.
This brooch, representing a blooming rose, entirely paved with white diamonds, can be seen as a symbol of tenderness, friendship or pure love. Its double bloom could also be an allusion to the Rose of England, the emblem that unified the Tudor houses by ending the War of the Two Roses.
