About an acquaintance who has lost his sight, and about the proofs of his
Introduction to the Method of Leonardo da Vinci, published in England: "What a strange story! - It is in a way the reverse of a miracle that you teach me. Poor girl, in the instant night!" He hopes that it is only a detachment, but thinks that there is not much hope, and pities his friend for the trouble that these painful situations bring... "I don't know where to turn. I am very dissatisfied with my business in London| the proofs I am waiting for (Vinci) are not arriving| I have late orders, etc. etc. I see how much work is detrimental to work. I was wise, and here I am promoted to fool!"...
