Ramelde Puccini, sister of the composer, of whom he was a hunting companion.
Most of the letters are written from Lucca, Milan or Torre del Lago, and addressed to Pescia, where Franceschini was a tax collector.
Puccini tells of a stay in Milan, where it is freezing cold, for business| he talks about financial investments and shares| sketch of an instrument for loom (telajo) (1887). He is in bed with a cold (Dec. 1893). Details on bicycles (1894). He is going to leave for
