Drawing aut. "La Sorcière". n.d. (1829). Original drawing, ink and pen (5.5 x 5.5 cm), framed under glass.
Beautiful representation of a female character, disheveled under the effect of a violent wind, with the frightening appearance of a witch. Image referring to some works of Musset's youth, especially in a passage of the play Les Marrons du feu (1829) : (...) The witch, crouching and whispering low words of blood, washes for the sabbaths, washes for the sabbaths the naked girl | Hecate with the three faces crumples her white dress to the rushes of the swamps. Listen. - The hour sounds! and by it is counted each step that time makes towards eternity (...). Another great figure of witch in Musset's work, the Belisa, in the play Don Paez (1829).
