Princeton Jan. 11, 1934 (Beer is in Reichenberg). Einstein hopes to find Beer a job at an American observatory. He advises him to send his publications with a short letter of motivation to Professor R. Dugan of the American Astronomical Society in Princeton. He left these publications in Europe.
Princeton April 13, 1934 (Beer is in London) He learned from his colleague Russell, to his great regret, that his efforts to get Beer an astronomical job in America were not successful. He should keep him informed of his efforts. He is willing to write anywhere on his behalf. Old Lyme (Connecticut) July 3, 1935 (Beer is at the Solar Physics Observatory in Cambridge). He advises him to send his most recent work to Professor Howard Shapley, Harvard College Observatory, Harvard University, and to explain his situation. Attached is a typescript signed by Rudi W.
