MANUSCRIT autograph signed "Herbert C. Brown", New Continent Awaiting Discovery, [1992] | 9 pages in-4 stapled | in English.
Brief history of his work on boranes. This text, which is intended to testify to the importance of academic research, was intended (as indicated by a note in red pen at the head) for a collective work published by Purdue University, Purdue Visions . In it, Brown recalls his studies, his debt to Professor Julius STIEGLITZ and to his fiancée in choosing to study borane as part of his doctorate, and the exploration of this new "continent" with his students, resulting in the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and the promise of revolutionizing the pharmaceutical industry... There are surely other continents of knowledge waiting to be discovered by young, enthusiastic and optimistic researchers, to whom he wishes good luck!
