Reflections on the economy, in the spirit of the many theoretical texts in the Notebooks that touch on economics, politics, etc. "That is, in the end, 5 hours of work for example to produce - per man - all that is necessary for man. With little work and it is possible to supply men with everything that is - and can with the increase of luxury - become necessary to them. If the state pays all salaries, including those of the administrations, and considers itself the owner of all produced material objects (nothing to change in the capitalist system in that it can pay the administrations special bonuses in their salaries, depending on quality as well as quantity). He disburses an amount X. He sells (having taxed his stocks so that they express X.). He collects a sum Y. Y < X. This is inflation, but apparent (?) because the money not taken in expresses the materials not consumed. If now he is the only banker and instead of taking out money credits accounts or the surplus X - Y is put back to him, and forms for each a fictitious account C1, C2, C3 "... Etc.
