SERRE-BIJOUX in the form of sarcophagus is veneered with ebony with a rich ornamentation of bronzes. It rests on four feet in the form of winged cherubs in bronze, followed by elongated figures and ending with a palmette, all in the round, positioned at the four corners. The top is decorated with a rich bronze medallion with a scene of dancing couples surrounded by the trumpets of fame. The lock is in the form of a door surmounted by a shield. Napoleon III period.
