Pair of Athenian-shaped torch holders in antique green painted wood and gilded lead. The wide upper belt is decorated with gilded lead lion masks, rests on three flat uprights joined by crossbars and finished with gilded wood lion claws. The top is in white Carrara marble. The whole rests on a plinth base. Northern Europe, around 1800.
