The FRED jewelry house was founded in 1936 by Fred Samuel (1908 - 2006), rue royale in Paris. This exceptional jeweler had a life with many twists and turns that he recounts in his book "Memoirs of a jeweler" published in 1992. Believing in his destiny, the success of his jewelry house is rooted in the character of this eternal optimist.

Fred's iconic jewelry is often inspired by the founder's family life, such as the Force 10 bracelet created in 1966 as a nod to the shared passion of Fred Samuel and his sons for the sea and sailing.

In the 1970s, brooches and pendants with the profiles of small characters appeared and were a great success: golfer, sailor, little girl, etc. Their faces are rounded, with a touch of elegance. Their faces have the perfect roundness of cultured pearls, a material that Fred has marketed since its inception and even contributed to its rise in high jewelry.
