A sapphire, diamond and ruby, gold and platinum brooch, signed Van Cleef & Arpels

Presented in many advertising posters of the New York World's Fair in 1939, this clip is adaptable on the necklace and the bracelet "Passe-partout" of the house Van Cleef & Arpels.

A symbol of innovation on this occasion, this bouquet in blue-white-red colors became a patriotic jewel in the 1940s. Van Cleef & Arpels used it in different ways in its Hawaii collection, around 1945. This model, representing a bouquet of flowers including forget-me-nots ("forget me not" in English) held by a ribbon, is then a mark of solidarity of soldiers' wives for their husbands displaced in wartime. A symbol of eternal love and remembrance, an ambassador of peace.
