Découvrable has been restored at great expense and is today in a very nice configuration respecting the colour chart of the time (Important photographic file).
Registered on 30 June 1952, it arrived at a Dutch collector’s in 1977.
After his death, an enlightened collector of the brand bought it for his property in Knocke-le-Zoute, Belgium. The bodywork is flawless, the underbody is impeccable and the interior and upholstery are beautiful.
Equipped with a 403 engine, its performance and driving pleasure are greatly improved.
Of course, the original engine will be delivered with the car.
The rare and sought-after Découvrable version was produced from 1949 onwards in 11,514 units. With its American lines, the popular Peugeot fit perfectly into the French automotive landscape of the 1950s, already contributing to the reputation of great robustness of Sochaux’s productions.
