Paris, Henri Floury, [1898]. In-4 (270 x 210 mm), 107 pp. Full brown morocco

decorated with gilded fillets in frames with spandrels, spine titled, dated in

titled spine, dated on the tail, and decorated with gilded fillets, gilded edges

gilt edges on witnesses, lining of eggshell moire, endpapers and double

marbled paper endpapers and double-guards, illustrated cover on both sides and

spine (binding signed P. L. Martin).

First edition illustrated with lithographs by Toulouse-Lautrec in black

including the 2 plates of the cover, 10 hors-texte.

Edition at 380 numbered copies. One of 355 on Arches vellum (this one

n°120) containing a monochrome suite on China of the 10 plates.

Copy enriched with the suite of 4 lithographs refused on Japon,

reserved for the 25 first copies, including those for the cover. The

cover of the book on tinted imitation japan is in perfect condition.

Subscription form bound at the end of the volume.

Copy enriched with an autograph telegram-card signed by

TOULOUSE-LAUTREC addressed to the art critic and great friend of the artist

G[ustave] Geffroy, rue de Belleville, dated [18]95 according to the

(oblong telegram-card mounted on tabs, brown ink).

A fine bound copy, partially untrimmed.
