SAND George (1804-1876).
L.A.S., October 24, 1856, [to Édouard PLOUVIER]| 4 pages in-8 (engraved portrait enclosed).
She is happy to have better news of "the dear sick woman" (the actress Lucie Mabire, Plouvier's wife), whom she urges to come and "try the air of Nohant". She gave up going to Paris for the revival of Claudie. She had " this summer, my daughter on her hands, that is to say, without metaphor, that she had to be carried from a sofa to her bed, she was also ill and very seriously from an old miscarriage. She left healed once again. She will be sick again and she will heal again if she takes care of herself. But also we have the returns to the joy and the savored happiness that share our life between this inevitable coming and going of delicious and cruel that leads us to the other better life. Do not doubt therefore this mother providence that you have sung so well and that you will find again on the celestial staircase"...
