MONET CLAUDE (1840-1926).
L.A.S. "Claude Monet", Giverny, April 26, 1887, addressed to Georges PETIT.
3 pages in-8 (fold, tears).
Since 1883, MONET, widower, lives in Giverny with his two sons, Alice HOSCHEDE, whom he married in 1892, and her 6 children. In 1887, the International Exhibition of the Georges PETIT Gallery in Paris, presented works by MONET, whose talent was now recognized. In this letter, MONET proposes to PETIT to come and choose the paintings that will be presented: "how to decide which paintings will be yours [...] I would be very happy to have your opinion on the choice of things to exhibit."
