Formal court dress for men, chaopao, in blue silk embroidered with polychrome and gold threads of nine five-clawed dragons chasing the sacred pearl above sacred peaks and tumultuous waves, among stylized bats and clouds forming ruyi. The waistline is highlighted with a frieze of dragons clashing around the sacred pearl, with a tobacco silk band as the lower border of the dress. Lining in pearl gray silk finely decorated with foliage.
