Wooden statue, formerly lacquered with traces of polychromy and enhanced with gold leaves, representing the boddhisattva Avalokiteshvara seated in lalitasana (royal relaxation) on a rock, his left foot on the lotus. The face with half-closed eyes expressing serenity and compassion, surmounted by a tiara crowning a high bun of hair. She is dressed in a finely sculpted dress with long folds, falling over her legs and the edges of the rock.
