engraved in ink, with the front panel decorated with fifteen scenes from the Passion of Christ. On the shaft, from bottom to top: the Meal at Simon’s House, the Last Supper, the Washing of the Feet, the Mount of Olives, the Arrest of Jesus, the Appearance before Caiaphas, the Flagellation, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection; on the horizontal crossbars, from left to right: the Crowning with Thorns, the Carrying of the Cross, the Raising of the Cross, the Lamentation at the Foot of the Cross, the Entombment, the Descent into Limbo; interlaced friezes on the edges. Stepped plinth in blackened wood.
