The album is bound with two lacquer covers, the first of which is decorated with three painted and gilded drawings| a lakescape and pagodons in front of Mount Fuji in a rectangular cartouche| a bird in flight approaching flowers in a circular medallion cartouche| and two carps on a gold background in a square cartouche. It includes 94 photos, some of them enhanced with polychrome, and a painted print on the last page following the western reading direction.
The photos represent cities, portraits, sculptures of deities, activities and miscellaneous, and are pasted on thick pages with golden edges.
