IMPORTANT carved and moulded walnut palace woodwork decorated with perspectives alternated by pilasters, each leaf representing semi-circular arcades whose cornice and base betray a vanishing point. The whole is composed of six large panels and a door.

In the decorative arts, these trompe-l'oeil subjects were mostly made in marquetry. The conception of an architectural view in perspective, carved in solid wood, was much more difficult to accomplish and required a great mastery of technique and material.
Thus this set is both very unusual and a rare testimony of its time.
