Amusing song of 44 bars in 2/4 in G, lyrics by Ch. Garnier (the architect Charles GARNIER?): "Un canard au bas d'une échelle"... The chorus ends: "The low duck had the advantage that the high duck had, corner, corner, corner", etc. these cries in a "Mephistophelic laugh".
