In-18, XII, 362 pp, 12 engraved figures. Full dark green morocco, boards each decorated with a cold-stamped plate of a neo-Gothic building facade, double gilt fillet and stamped frieze in frame, spine titled and dated, and decorated with gilt friezes and fillets, as well as cold-stamped irons, gilt edges, gilt inner border, gilt friezes on the edges, marbled paper endpapers, bookmark preserved (period binding).
Autograph letter signed in brown ink by A. de Loy, dated January 1, 1831 and addressed to Eloyze Smith (front endpaper)| signature in ink "L. Smith" on front endpaper. Illustrated with 12 steel-engraved hors-texte figures by Geo B. Ellis, J. B. Neagle, and T. Kelly. Beautiful neo-gothic binding.
