In-4 (286 x 233 mm), 202 pp. Bound in vellum with a pyrographed motif by Drouart (adolescent and sheep) and various ornaments on the upper cover, signed with his initials, smooth titled and decorated spine, marbled paper endpapers, cover and spine preserved.
A unique copy illustrated with 95 original woodcuts by Raphaël Drouart, including 20 large woodcuts, and including, bound at the end of the volume: a suite of plates on chine, a suite of their proofs on thin chamois vellum, some of which are monogrammed in pencil by Drouart, 3 artist's proofs on thin japanese paper numbered "1/5", a monotype on strong vellum, and the prospectus-announcement.
Edition of 320 numbered copies. One of the 20 off-market copies on Whatman paper reserved for the artist (this one n° VIII) signed by the publisher.
A fine and fresh copy (despite some pitting to the binding).
