- CHABOT Count of. Hunting through the ages. An anecdotal history of hunting among ancient peoples and in France from the conquest of the Gauls to the present day. Paris, Arthur Savaète, 1898. Large volume in-4 (330 x 260 mm), 407 pp. Half morocco with corners, spine titled and decorated with cold boxes and a central iron of a stag's head in a medallion, marbled paper endpapers (binding dated "1941").
First edition of "the most beautiful work published in France on the history of hunting" (Thiébaud), illustrated with 4 colour plates and numerous black reproductions.
