In leaves, printed cover with flaps, in a pink printed publisher's lace-up folder titled "La Rose".
A very fine edition with a limited edition of 102 numbered copies One of the 99 copies (this one n°11) including a suite of plates on pearly paper from Japan.
Foreword written by J.L Vaudoyer, printed on pink laid paper, in which he presents the life and work of P.J Redouté (1759-1840), "the Raphael of flowers". 12 very beautiful colour plates printed on Rives vellum by Mourlot after Pierre-Joseph Redouté, as well as the continuation of the 12 plates on Japon.
The mention "Souvenir de Bagatelle" refers to the Exhibition of the
Rose at the Bagatelle Pavilion where, as written in the justification of the work, the copy n°1 of this edition was presented as a tribute to H.M. the Queen of England.
